Made from soap stone these hand carved Kokopelli candle holders are made with the utmost precision and attention to detail.
Kokopelli is a fertility deity, usually depicted as a humpbacked flute player (often with a huge phallus and antenna-like protrusions on his head), who has been venerated by many Native American cultures in the Southwestern United States. Like most fertility deities, Kokopelli presides over both childbirth and agriculture. He is also a trickster god and represents the spirit of music. You can read more about kokopelli here.
The beautiful natural colors of the stone, and the history of Kokopelli will be sure to make for an excellent conversation piece or a unique gift for a loved one.
